How to Buy on WeaponDepot
Complete guide to finding, purchasing, and receiving items on the WeaponDepot marketplace.
Finding Items
WeaponDepot offers multiple ways to find the items you are looking for. Use the search bar at the top of any page to search by keywords such as manufacturer, model, caliber, or description. Browse by category to explore Firearms, Ammunition, Accessories, and Parts & Components. Use the filter sidebar on the Browse page to narrow results by listing type (Fixed Price, Auction, or Classified), condition (New, Used, Refurbished), price range, and more. You can also browse seller storefronts directly to see a specific dealer's entire inventory. Save your searches to receive notifications when new items matching your criteria are listed.
Making a Purchase
Once you find an item you want to buy, review the listing carefully. Read the full description, examine all photos, check the seller's ratings and feedback, and review the shipping and return policies. For fixed-price items, click the Buy Now button to add the item to your cart and proceed to checkout. For auction items, place a bid at or above the current minimum bid amount. If you win the auction, you will be notified and directed to complete the checkout process. During checkout, you will select your payment method, choose or provide your FFL dealer's information (for firearms), and confirm your shipping address (for non-firearms items).
Completing the Transaction
After payment is processed, the seller will ship your item. You can track the shipment through your order dashboard. For firearms, the item will be shipped to your selected FFL dealer. You will need to visit the dealer to complete the background check and transfer paperwork (ATF Form 4473) before taking possession. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID and any required state permits. For non-firearms items, the package will be shipped to your provided address. Once you receive your item, inspect it carefully and confirm receipt through the WeaponDepot platform. Leave feedback for the seller to help other buyers make informed decisions.
